These work really well and they are super easy to load with batteries and mount wherever you need light. The remote makes them super convenient. I mounted mine under the kitchen cabinets. The remote allows me to control the dimmer so I can make them super bright for cooking and food prep, or dim them for light in the dark kitchen without putting on the overpowering overhead light. The drawback to these is that they are battery run and if you use them frequently you will need to replace the batteries frequently. The battery operation is good because I don't have an acciable power source near where I need light in grampa's old house
