Defective Internal Remote Receiver

Installed for 2 months then internal remote unit went out - literally leaving me in the dark. Manufacturer gave no response when requesting assistance. Allstate warranty does not cover the 1st year (even though it states 3 years - so in effect you are paying for 2 years).
