Handmade, ture ininspired, whimsical. How did you come up with the idea for this product? I wanted to apply my art to everyday objects. Pattern is a recurrent element in my artwork. At the time I was paying close attention to the way things grow in ture when not controlled by man. I wanted to translate this to the floral patterns in the tableware. I also wanted it to have the texture of an etching, add a tactile value to the products. What makes your product special? I think the fact that there is not only a functional intention but also an aesthetic intention. My beginnings making functional ceramics are very ininspired by the Art and Crafts movement.
