Received this book as a gift and am so glad I did. "World Travel Adventures" is organic in that it chronicles the travels of a regular guy who has traveled to more than 100 countries, learns through his experiences, and shares them with the readers in a conversational way. There are a lot of very interesting things I learned about our world, its people, its cultures and how to navigate through various societies. I like that it is not from some organization with its own agenda to sell you things or boastful, just a realistic view of what's out there from someone who has traveled extensively and didn't even plan on writing this book until convinced by others who heard of his adventures and knowledge. The book is very well written, interesting, funny at times and makes you want to find out what happens next. I also like the 100 travel tips at the end, many of which I have used and am now using. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in travel at any level. The author obviously loves travel and conveys his stories with great enthusiasm. Having read through it, I can see why. I would attend any lectures that he gives on travel.
