Learning Curve?
To be fair to this product, it may be that I need to learn how to best use it. The following are concerns: 1) The handles have a tendency to flex when applying max torque and I have smashed my fingers together as I hold onto the handles because they come together. I have learned to hold the loppers using the edges of the handle. Unlike loppers that are not ratcheted, these do not have a "stop plate" at the high end of the handles - even though that might not help with the coming together of the handles. 2) I may need to tighten the blade because it is not cutting through the green bark at the end of the cut. The bark slides between the blades causing me to believe that the blades could use some tightening. I cannot compare this ratcheted lopper to any others since this is my first pair. I cannot say if these issues are endemic to all loppers of this type. I bought this tool to be able to cut branches up to 2" in diameter.
