From the picture above, the base I received was shaped w/o the lower right quadrant in place. The connector was attached at the bottom middle, then a 1/2" metal tube was curved on a circle to the left until it ended in the center coming from the midpoint area on the right side. Construction is sturdy and is heavy enough to resist movement from the sprinkler's impact after it is installed. Base will work for my application.

Abought 15 years ago I made 1 out of copper with a 1/2" elbod for my 1/2" splash sprinkler filled with sand for weight. I never knew that they made them and this one is heave and connections are brass well constructed, and no leaks! Seems stronger than the one I made!!
