I have no clue if it works

Well, I don't know if it works or not. I assume it does and it's "user error." I think I broke the tailgater as I was changing the battery. It was next to impossible to remove. And everyone wants $75 to fix the $99 unit. So I have this great battery and nothing to put it in.
