Wasn't sure what size to buy

I read through the reviews before I bought these to try and determine what size to buy for a 6 year old, but I didn't find an answer. I ended up ordering the Large. They are way too big, pretty sure they would fit an adult. So FYI for future people wondering what size to buy for a 6 year old... NOT A LARGE! They're really cute though :) I will exchange for a smaller size.
