Westin R5 Wheel to Wheel Chevy Silverado

Really like these steps. They are extremely sturdy and do not flex like other nerf bars I have seen. It might be the way they are mounted or the fact that the brackets are 1/4". With the Chevy Silverado brackets mount to the rocker panel in pre drilled/tapped locations and that was nice. I did not like the large plastic foot pads at first but I can't say that I have had any problems with them when wet or otherwise. Installation took a while but anyone with some tools and an 8th grade education can get it done in a few hours. Basic socket set, an impact gun, and some long extensions will probably help you out a ton. I used Loctite in the rockers and anti-seize everywhere else. They look pretty sharp and should last a while. More expensive than some but the quality is definitely there. Not disappointed at all.

How I got those new and replaced the damage ones.

Its very great. The original ones from Raptor they didn't have the ones I need since my Chevy Silverado 2012 have a extended cab. I want to have a wheel to wheel base to reach into the bed. While reading the installtion instruction. I only manage to install the four hangers on each side. I didn't have enough time to install myself due the cold weather in the Northeast and the time goes night somewhat after 4:30pm est. The last two I have to take to a shop in my town. Since my previous auto shop denied for the service claiming its "aftermarket". Those running boards meets or exceeds OEM spec. I took it to another shop up the highway on 1-3-24. Only charge me $250 and tax and that's was it. They got it done in one day. I'm very happy I got them on. My old ones the passenger to be exact damages from a guard rail while turning SLOW. I'm glad I got it off of my chest. The new ones are great. Now my Mom and Dad can climb into my truck once again.

Westen R5 wheel to wheel

Very soft when mounted, had to re-enforce them to keep from sliding off. Also kit was short parts, had to supply Nuts, lick washers. When i called Westen, I was told to go to a hardware store! I needed 1 Rivcert, took 3 weeks to get it! Stainless bars that will stand up to the weather, but brackets and hardware are all common steel and won't stand up.
