OtterBox iPhone 11 Pro Max Otter + Pop Defender Series Case

I initially was very excited to receive a case full of protection with the built in popout, but the popout fails when attempting to use it as a kickstand with my phone sideways. It keeps collapsing and was so frustrating that I ended up changing cases. For what I paid for this case it didn't even come with a belt carrier. Very disappointed. I recommend trying this product before buying.

I love my iPhone and I love protective cases that really do a good job of protecting my phone. I'm active, have kids, and spend a lot of time outside. So a highly-protective case is a necessity. Overall, I like this case, but using it on a daily basis is tough because of the weight. Here's what I love about this case: the Popsocket integration is awesome. You can leave the Popsocket on when wirelessly charging and when pushed down, the Popsocket sticks out minimally. For anyone who loves popsockets, this case nailed the integration. The case is also very protective. The screen edges are raised, the edges around the camera are raised. I'm pretty sure I could drop my iPhone off a 5th floor balcony with this case on and it would be fine. The bad: The case is extremely heavy. With the phone inside, the case feels like a brick. It's also very thick (double or triple the thickness of my Lifeproof Next case), making it impossible to slide into your pocket. It's also extremely difficult to hold if you don't have very large hands. Finally, I don't like how the case handles the mute switch. Having to open up the little flap and try to flip the switch is really hard. I really like the protectiveness this case offers and I'll probably keep it and use it for hikes and outdoors activities. But using it as a daily case is going to be tough because of the weight. If OtterBox could shave a few grams off and make the mute switch easier to access, that would improve the case a lot. One thing I really miss is the Otterbox Pursuit. If you all could do that case with a Popsocket, I'd pay top dollar. That case was a perfect blend of protectiveness without the bulk. Personally, I'll probably be sticking with my Lifeproof Next as a daily case. It's highly protective but easier to handle.
