Key item features

  • Level 2 Tongue Relief: Features a 1/4" low port and wide center barrel that provides significant tongue relief, encouraging the horse to swallow, relax at the poll, and stop leaning on the bit.
  • Sweet Iron & Copper Inlay: The mouthpiece is crafted from naturally oxidizing sweet iron and copper to stimulate salivation and bit acceptance, making it ideal for dry-mouthed or sensitive horses.
  • HBT Shank Design: The Hinge-to-Bit (HBT) shank provides exceptional stability and precise leverage, ensuring your aids are translated clearly and directly for refined communication.
  • Oversize Comfort Fit: Intentionally manufactured to measure 1/8” to 1/4” larger than the stated size to ensure the bit sits comfortably outside the lips, preventing painful pinching.
  • Independent Side Movement: Allows the rider to give clear, one-sided signals, making it an excellent tool for schooling green horses or refining lateral aids in Dressage and Western disciplines.

Myler level 2 HBT short shank bit comfort snaffle

I can't rate yet as I haven't had a chance to try it on a younger horse. I'm sure it will be fine since I had tried one on that was a 2-3. I know Myler has a very good reputation, so yes I would say find the one that works and purchase.
