As the founder of Institute 193 in Kentucky, and the director of the Souls Grown Deep Foundation in Georgia, Phillip March Jones is an active presence in the thriving photography culture of the American South. Despite his busy career, Jones' newest book is about slowing down. Points of Departure is a collection of Polaroid photographs documenting memorials on the sides of highways, interstates, main-streets and back roads.
