Great old movie!

This is a really good movie. Cary Grant is not the main story, which is weird, but still really good

Good Family Movie

Cary Grant, as always, is brilliant in this story of a man whose wife takes in every stray dog and cat- not to mention an orphan or two. They already have three children, which he feels to be quite enough, but his wife asks if they can't just take a little girl for a couple of weeks ... Then it's a small boy who's just going to go on vacation with them ... As you'd expect from such a plot, there's plenty of laughter as well as plenty of heartwarming scenes. The tender scenes don't dominate the movie making it too mushy, and the laughs aren't obvious and predictable: like when the boy they're adopting announces he's leaving and in frustration the mother tells him, "Fine, but don't take anything with you that we've given you." A few minutes later one of the other children comes in with the information that he's outside- naked. When she rushes out with an apron she snatches up to put on him, his defense is that he doesn't have any clothes except the ones they'd gotten him, and she said not to take things they'd bought with him. lol Altogether it's a delightful movie of the type that they unfortunately don't make any more. I'm on a tight budget, but this was money well spent.
