I liked it's design. It is compact, very shiny black with a small antenna. Very compact. Went to supermarket and bought 6 "C" batteries. That is what the radio requires. Once at home , I installed the batteries and it turned on immediately. Am also keeping it "plugged" into a electric wall socket and also have the batteries inside the radio, simultaneously, as well. Reception is very excellent. It is a very attractive and compact, shiny black piece of equipment. Has a sturdy, strong shiny plastic black handle to carry it around. .
