New Balance Men's 608v5 Casual Comfort Cross Trainer

I am a New Balance customer for over forty years and I have tried other “extra wide” brands, only to find that they weren’t wide enough for me. I’m usually a 4E width, but I thought I would try a 6E to see if it felt better than the 4E. The extra width was helpful, however , the MX 608V5, was very hard, so I had to buy inserts to make them comfortable enough to wear. I usually wear running shoes so I expected less cushioning. I love the width but I can only see myself wearing these shoes for short periods of time.

I have used NB shoes for years and recently purchased this model because of the material used at the top of the toe area. This material promises to last longer than the mesh on my other NB shoes which has worn through after a short time of use. These shoes are comfortable, offer great support for my 2.5 mile walks, and are also attractive. I have ordered another pair as a backup.
