The old plantation mansion sat dark and weather worn on the cliffs looking out on the river. There were no lights inside, no sounds of laughter, and no smoke coming out the chimney. Where were all the people? The windows upstairs no longer had glass panes; they were just solid black squares that seemed to say, "no one lives here any longer." If someone walked behind this old place, they would see a graveyard now surrounded with briars and weeds. The gravestones can't tell who is buried there because time and the wind have erased all the writing. Who were these people? Did no one care about them or this mansion? After all, this is just another old house with graves, nothing strange about that, right? Wrong! Come travel through the pages of this book and you will discover a young lady that did care. She cared enough to see what was inside. She found things that caused her to ask questions. So many questions soon led her to dark secrets. Come along on her journey. You will be very surprised. You will meet many family members that will help you along the way. It is my hope that you will enjoy my book as much as I enjoyed writing it. I believe you will not be disappointed. Happy Reading!
