Houghton Mifflin Harcourt on Core Mathematics: Student Worktext Grade 7 2012 (Paperback)

I have to admit that I don't know how closely this aligns with common core. What I am exceedingly impressed with is the book's step-by-step guide through the problems. It is in workbook format, so instead of just having the child read through instructions and then do some problems, the book works through a few problems with the child before setting him/her free to do it independently. This also means that parents can see how to the child is doing it and can know how to assist. The only caveat that I have is that it is a very in-depth workbook and will take a long time to complete the whole thing. (It is probably meant to be completed over the course of the school year)
