This kit was pretty easy for my 11 year old to put together. It works very well! Sometimes it gets stuck when bringing the coaster up the hill, but if you mess with the links in the chain it works great. My son loves it!

My 8-year-old is an avid Lego builder but needed a little help building this at first as the instructions are different;but once he got it figured out he was able to build it on his own and loves playing with it. It is big so takes up a corner of his room but really a great value for the money.
