WHY DID I RECEIVE THE CUTTING BOARD WITH A BIT OIL ON THE SURFACE?
Beefunri cutting boards are pre-seasoned with food-safe oil before delivery so they might come a bit oily. However, it is not a big deal as we wrapped the cutting board in pelure paper to absorb excess oil & limit rancidity
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO BEFORE USING CUTTING BOARDS?
For first use, we suggest you apply a good amount of mineral oil to the entire surface of the board & let it soak in overnight. This process helps to properly moisturize the cutting board after a long process of shipping to you
HOW TO CLEAN AFTER COOKING?
1: Hand wash cutting boards with soapy water & a cleaning sponge
2: Wash the board on 2 sides to avoid swelling & warping
3: Dry it with a clean dishcloth. Stand it upright & let it air-dry before storing
Note: DON’T use the dishwasher for cleaning
HOW TO MAINTAIN TEAK CUTTING BOARDS?
Although Teak wood naturally contains lots of oil, we advise oiling your boards at least once a month with mineral oil or beeswax over the entire surface with a soft cloth. Leave the oil to soak in, overnight if possible, or for at least 3 hours
HOW TO RECONDITION TEAK BOARDS?
All wood cutting boards will naturally get knife marks & chips after a long time of usage. But, you can easily remove those by sanding your board with a piece of sanding paper (320-grit or higher is recommended). Remember to sand along the grains
