Seymour Link Handles Epoxy Kit

I have a ten pound splitting maul with a fiberglass handle. I've had for over twenty years. One day while splitting firewood the epoxy in the maul cracked and broke away from the fiberglass handle. I did some searching to see if I could renew my splitting maul with an epoxy kit. I ordered three three kits from reviews I had read to have enough epoxy for the job. I followed the instructions to the letter and behold two days later I had a solid bond. All I wish to do now is get three more epoxy kits to build a tapered three or four inch cone of resin for more strength from the maul towards the handle end. I will make a split cone form. Use gulf wax on the inside of the cone to release the cone form after the epoxy has hardened. Tape it together, and drill two 1/4 inch holes near the smallest taper of the cone on opposite sides as fill holes. By adding more strength to the fiberglass handle, it will remove any spring shock from splitting and give extra protection to the fiberglass handle from a miss in splitting firewood.
