Grohe Essence 235922431 Single Hole Single-Handle S-Size Bathroom Faucet 1.2 GPM in Matte Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this faucet for one of my bathroom sinks, and it delivers with quality and style. When i unpacked the faucet, the quality was evident, even with how much care was put into packing it. I have installed grohe products before and then instructions seem intuitive, but sometimes are hard to follow with no wording, but that could just be me. Installation was extremely easy once i figured out what was hanging me up. I am a plumber by trade with over 20 years experience, and i was pleasantly surprised by the most simplest thing on this faucet. The nut that holds the faucet down to the counter just slides up the stud sticking out of the bottom of the faucet, but once it engages into the washer it tightens with ease. I am usually quick to call something "over engineered" but this was probably one thing i wish would catch on for all faucets. One other item that some overlook, is that grohe supplies a chrome drain body, which seems to have fallen out of favor these days. Most other faucets come with a plastic one which has two downfalls. One, it isnt very nice to see if you have an exposed drain on some wall hung sinks. The other is, the plastic drains tend to have much more scum build up in it during use and you find yourself cleaning the drain more than if you used a metal drain. I would highly recommend this faucet to my customers.
