Set in the bohemian fantasy that was New York in the nineties, Green Card satisfies the need for classic romance and artsy atmosphere. The irresistible draw of opposites attracting despite best efforts, and a supporting cast of dryly humorous friends, neighbors and family, creates a perfect mix for a date night movie. The music is another plus. Heavy with African rhythms and featuring, at the opening, the drumming of the newly discovered Bucket Boys. An all around satisfying experience. Highly recommended.
