This covered pup bed is great, check for everything you need that should be in the box and it took me about 30 minutes to assemble. It does have an oddly stinkbug smell, but after wiping down with some dish soap and being outside for a few weeks that has dissipated. My dog is about 68 pounds and 27" long from her neck to the base of her tail, her head is about 11" long. She fits comfortably and will even curl up and there is ample room on the minimally cushioned bed. The cover of the cushion is removable (yaay!) and is water resistant, but I bring it in when it rains since there is a gap in the center of the "roof" where rain does get in. The base that the cushion sits on is made of the same material as the sides, and since she cannot "jump" into it, I feel it will last and not rip through, but I would not use it without the cushion, if that makes sense. It keeps her from getting soaked in the rain which I love and so does she. Once it is together it takes up a relatively large space, so if you are moving it, you would probably want to take it apart. This was a great purchase, I am so pleased with it and hope this helps!
