I first got this book over 24yrs ago, when my son was born, it made me cry then and now. It's beautifully written and a story that can be passed down for generations. I'd suggest buying a few copies and saving them for part of a baby shower gifts. I try to buy one for every new baby arrival, especially if they're a boy — the story it's about a mother %26 son. — It's the cycle of life. Highly Recommended!

Love this book, First ordered this book back in 1989. Read it to my daughter every night and as she learned to read at the early age of 2 1/2We read it together. Continued buying this same book for each of my Grandbabies And reading to each one. 2008, 2010. 2014 and now 2025. It has become our family book. And I still have my daughter's book.
