The directions on the package weren't very helpful. The color showed up on my dark brown hair and washed out easily. Loved the final look for party Saturday that washed out in time for sedate Sunday.

A major disappointment at our birthday party
We had to soak the colors for any color to come off onto the girls' hair. Didn't show up very well at all on our brunette party guests. Only showed up satisfactorily on one guest with light blonde hair. The directions were next to useless. Much happier with other brands.
