This cork remover opens wine bottles in seconds, with almost no effort required. It takes a brief period to get comfortable using it. But after that, you will wonder why any other type of cork remover still exists! My only complaint is that the included instructions oversimplify how to use the product. I highly recommend watching – very closely – the manufacturer's video.
My personal operating instructions – more detailed, but less marketing friendly – are as follows:
(1) Remove all packaging – including the small red rubber cover from the tip of the needle
(2) Of course, you still need to cut and remove the foil covering the top of your wine bottle
(3) Use your non-dominant hand to hold the cork remover over the top of the bottle, with the needle at the approximate center of the cork
(4) With your dominant hand, grasp the top end of the cork remover and firmly press straight downward into the cork until it stops – making sure that the flexible “accordion” section of the cork remover is fully collapsed
(5) Take your non-dominant hand off the cork remover and use it to hold the wine bottle steady
(6) Using the thumb of your dominant hand – still grasping the cork remover – press the top button/cartridge for 2-3 seconds
(7) When you feel the wine cork start to move, pull gently – and straight – upward, and release your thumb from the button/cartridge
(8) Continue to gently guide the cork remover straight upward until the cork is out of the bottle
NOTE: You can certainly follow the manufacturer's steps for removing the cork from the needle, but I found my own steps easier:
(1) Grab both ends of the cork remover and gently pull apart until the flexible section of the cork remover is fully extended back to the original state
(2) Then simply twist the cork off the needle
(3) Carefully clean the needle and the area around it, and then replace the red rubber cover over the tip of the needle
Enjoy your wine!
