Would buy again

We recently re-landscaped and I wanted to replace a railroad tie garden bed that was looking past its prime. Needed something that will hold up to very hot summers and this looked like it would fit the bill. I decided to do a two-tier arrangement with mine, so I could do a tomato plant in the top and a few herbs in the lower bed. I went with the 2-inch series as it looked a little more beefy. Had one cracked board upon opening the boxes, but I was able to put the cracked side to the inside of the bed, so I think it should do fine. I used a cordless drill with a phillips bit to install the screws. There are no pre-drilled holes, so it's important to line up your brackets and hold them firmly as you put the screws in. You also want to be sure to not over-drill as you could easily strip the hole. I did have that happen a couple of times, but luckily I had a bunch of plastic shims sitting around, so I broke off the thinest end and positioned it between the board and the bracket, then re-installed the screw. That seemed to hold things pretty securely. Once assembled, it has a nice clean look to it, and fit in my yard nicely. I had my landscaper install (with weed block fabric under it) and fill it with soil. Just waiting for him to put the drip system in and I'll be ready to add my plants. Can't wait to use it! This was my first purchase from Hayneedle (along with one other item), and I'm thus far so pleased with my purchases and service from Hayneedle, that ordered a new outdoor rug and replacement cushions for my outdoor furniture -- going to be enjoying my ""new"" backyard!
