The Dragon Reacher, 24 Inch 1 reacher The Dragon's claw (handle). Great for home. Great for work. Hook for pulling. Magnetic tip. High strength lightweight aluminum. Lightweight design. Requires minimal hand strength. 4 inch wide jaw opening. Durable rubber gripping surface. Jaw rotates 360 degrees. Products for an independent life. Ergonomically designed handle is comfortable to the touch and prevents hands from being pinched. The trigger only has to be squeezed 3/4 inch to close the 4 inch jaws, requiring minimal strength and movement. Conveniently hangs from a wheelchair arm, walker, or door so it is always within reach. Ideal for left or right hand use. The Dragons Jaws: Magnetic tip is perfect for picking up small metal objects. A hook aids in picking up items like keys, shutting doors, or pulling items closer to reach. The jaw turns 360 degrees to infinite settings allowing the user to more easily grab items without turning their wrists (just grab the jaws and turn). The gripping surface of the claw has hard-wearing rubber and ribbed plastic teeth, helping to hold objects firmly and reducing the amount of strength required to lift. The Dragon Reacher Benefits: 24 and 32 inch lengths with 4 inch opening jaw reduces excessive bending and reaching for items on the ground or high shelves. Can pick up items as small as coins and items that weigh as much as 2.5 lbs. Broke in under 2 months.
Broke in less than 2 months worth of use after being discharged from the hospital. I used it for normal items i.e. pieces of paper, box of crackers, etc, things within its prescribed weight limit. Very disappointed. Look for a more durable manufacturer.
