Mikasa Italian Countryside 7-inch Bread & Butter Plate Set of 4

We started collecting this pattern several months ago. Our first purchase was cappuccino cups. Next, we purchased two serving bowls and two platters. After experiencing absolutely NO PROBLEMS with those, we purchased service for 12 of plates, salad plates, small mugs, and cereal bowls. Now, we were adding bread and butter plates, rimmed soup bowls, and fruit/dessert dishes. Still, NOT A SINGLE CHIP OR CRACK. Every piece has been well-packed and arrived in perfect condition as well. This set replaces the Mikasa Tracings pattern which we have enjoyed since the early 90's. We are replacing that pattern only because we could no longer find even gently used replacements for some pieces. Over the years, we have chipped very few pieces of our Mikasa dishes. Only in the last few years did they develop some crazing and small discolored spots. (Those dishes were used every day!) Personally, I have found that most problems are usually the result of careless handling, exposure to high heat, and, finally, old age!!!

I love this dinner service and the opportunity to add the bread and butter plates made it even better. I have ordered several different pieces to add to my collection and I am very pleased with the consistent quality.
