I normally buy these in the fountain pen version, but this was for a gift to someone not familiar with fountain pens. It is made with a brass body and a strong clip. The pen is a twist open. It comes with an inch and four metric ruler markings, a small Philip's and flat head reversible but good for glasses and other small instruments. The stylus tip is removable to access the bit. The pen body holds the bit snug. The stylus tip is very dubable. I have a few hundred hours use with one of mine. The level is correct and not a cheap fake. The pen is a very nice writing ball point in the shape of the traditional pencil with a little more heft. Very comfortable and gripable for smooth writing. The refills are either D1 or D13 refills. The only downside is that these refille don't last as long as a normal ink cartridge as they are half the size to accommodate the level in the barrel. They still have a good amount of writing time. Not enough a pen to write a long novel but long enough for everyday use of signatures and paperwork. Buy refills to be on the safe side. You won't want to let someone borrow this, and you won't want to dispose of it. Will last you a long time. I have used one of mine for a year straight in a harsh work environment with it in my shirt pocket whet not in use around caustic chemicals and heavy machinery. It shows little sign of use. Well worth the money. Can make a good conversation starter. Also, Jim Lanier gets these out to you fast and correct.
