I have been buying beautiful decor directly from Touch of Class for several decades and have never been disappointed. There are some flaws that happened with the piece and I did call Walmart to let them know about them. I was told they would get back to me in up to 2 days about an option to resolve the issues.
It did take about 15 minutes to unbox the delicate flower and remove it from the highly intricate system that kept it secure and safe for shipping. I didn't mind that because there was no damage from shipping, however there was from the production.
It's absolutely beautiful but one of the stones in the center is quite loose and probably is going to break off. Some of the pedals have areas where there is almost no resin coating over the shells where they lay on top of each other. I am even able to put my fingernail under some of those edges and actually lift the shell so I don't do that because I don't want to break it.
I do have a concern about the one key hook that is attached to only one of the petals on the back. The pedal themselves will move with very little effort and I'm a little nervous because I intend to hang this over the headboard of my bed. I'm concerned that it could fall on me and I wish there were two keyhole hooks on the back for more security. The outer edges of each pedal are outlined by the material that makes up the base which is actually silver, and not a dark color as it looks in the photo.
I still love this piece and if I keep it I guess I would be willing to go to a craft store and get some semi gloss epoxy type material to coat the sharp edges on some of the shelves that are layered. The thought of having to try to repack it in a Safeway for a return shipping from the Walmart store seems almost impossible because of the type of heavy wiring that they used that I needed to cut with wire cutters. All in all, for $99 I can say that it is a bargain considering the kind of labor that went into making this gorgeous peace. I just wish it did not have the flaws that I mentioned. It's elegant and very beautiful and I still recommend that people buy it but examine it carefully.
