I use this morning and night!
Whether preparing for a fresh makeup application, or getting ready for bed, I never skip applying this essence before my moisturizer and eye cream. Using it helps really lock in moisture and keep my skin even and youthful. The couple times I have skipped it, I've definitely noticed a difference. My skin absorbed the moisturizer much more quickly and fine lines were more noticeable at the end of the day or upon waking up.

I am a HUGE SHIEIDO FAN for over 15yrs now. I buy and pay for all these items with my own money, nothing is given for free.. so rest assured this is an honest review. I wish I could add pictures of my before and after but alas, didn't take any at close enough range that would be able to tell the difference. As I have said before, I've been using these products for yrs... however what I just started using about 6 months ago consistently day and night are the serums. I used to have very deep forehead lines and the "squinting" lines you get between the brows.. well they've all disappeared!! So this is my regimen...AM wash face with only water because I thoroughly washed my face the night before and don't want to make my skin dry. Then I use the treatment softener followed by ultimune concentrate all over face. Ultimune eye under my bags, followed by beneficence eye cream. I wait about 5 minutes in between serums. I follow with vital perfection lift define serum and vital perfection eye cream, then the vital perfection 30spf moisturizer and finally the beneficence neck contour treatment. In the PM I clean my face with the perfect cleansing oil, and rinse, then wash with deep cleansing foam. I use the Eudermine activating essence then the Ultimune concentrate serum followed by Ultimune eye serum. After that I again use the vital perfection lift define serum and vital perfection eye cream. Then vital perfection moisturizer and beneficence neck contour treatment again. This is my day to day routine and hope it helps. Yes, these items are pricey but I've been able to tell the difference when used consistently!!! Also, did I mention the scent is so refreshing!!
