This item is well worth the purchase. I use it for about a month prior to my groin hernia surgery. It provided my with the utmost of comfort because I could push the hernia up, put on the strap and it would hold it in place. i slept with it on several occasions. I recommend purchasing more than one so when you remove the pads to clean and let it dry you have an alternate. I aslo wore it for about three weeks post-hernia surgery just as a precaution. Great product!
