Good quality, best for a 2 in umbrella

I was impressed with the quality of this cross-base for the value and the ease of putting it together! However, it didn't seem to work with our umbrella. I believe my umbrella pole has a diameter of 1.5 inches and this seemed to be better suited for an umbrella with maybe a 2 inch diameter pole? Our umbrella sat loosely into the base, so unfortunately we will have to return this.
