Similarly, these aquarium heaters make a faint click when turning off.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES: In addition to being composed of heavy-duty and shock-resistant glass, these fully submersible aquarium heaters can be placed either horizontally or vertically. There’s also a built-in minimum water level indicator at the top, colored in red.

This includes even short periods out of water, such as during a water change when water levels are reduced in the aquarium, and there is a risk of exposing the heater element. In such cases, always disconnect from the power supply. The heater should never be connected to an electrical outlet while out of the aquarium.
