Suggested instructions for using cerium oxide:
Supplies needed:
. Cerium oxide
2. Water (distilled water is recommended for some)
3. Polishing wheel
4. Electric drill
5. Small plastic bathtub (pint or quart size)
. Spray bottle
Instructions:
. Thoroughly clean the area where you will be working. Make sure there is no dirt or dirty glass, because once you start polishing, this will cause additional scratches.
2. We have prepared two small plastic buckets; quart or pint containers work well. Fill it half with water.
3. Put the polishing wheel in the water; let it wet completely, but do not let it drip.
4. Put some cerium oxide in an empty bathtub and add enough water to make a slurry (a fine paste like mixture).
5. Place the padded polishing wheel on the electric drill and immerse it in the slurry.
. Put the polishing wheel on your work area, if the scratches are very close, please use the small felt wheel for window corners; keep the wheel moving up and down and in a circular motion. Make sure that the slurry does not dry out, as this may cause your glass to overheat and crack. If your slurry is drying, you can spray it with a spray bottle filled with water.
