This device is a dual-channel signal processor designed for flexible tone shaping, overdrive control, and routing options for both live and studio use. It combines EQ and Drive sections with multiple output paths and an integrated effects loop for expanded signal chain control.
EQ Channel: Tone Shaping Control
The EQ section provides Bass, Middle, and Treble controls for general tone adjustment, along with a Variable Frequency control that allows precise boosting or cutting from approximately 20 Hz to 10 kHz. This helps remove unwanted low-end buildup or enhance clarity in the upper frequencies. Additional switches such as Deep, Process, and Bright, offer quick tone shaping options for different sound profiles, while the Level control manages output volume when the EQ is engaged.
Drive Channel: Overdrive and Gain Control
The Drive channel delivers tube-style overdrive with adjustable intensity and character. The Drive control sets overall gain, while the Blend knob mixes clean and distorted signals to preserve clarity. The Bandwidth control determines where clipping is emphasized, allowing either low-end warmth or tighter high-frequency response. A Tone control further refines the high-end content for more precise shaping of the overdriven sound.
Signal Routing: Parallel and Direct Outputs
The unit provides multiple output options for flexible integration. The Parallel Out delivers a buffered clean signal for routing to amplifiers, tuners, or additional effects chains. The Direct Out is a balanced XLR output designed for direct connection to mixers or recording interfaces, with cabinet-style filtering. A Ground Lift switch is included to reduce noise in XLR connections.
Effects Loop: Integrated Signal Placement
An always-active effects loop is positioned between the Drive and EQ stages. This allows time-based and modulation effects to be placed after distortion but before final EQ shaping, maintaining consistent tone control across different setups.
