This rug has a really soft, elegant look in person. I bought it for a room I'm still putting together, and I think it's going to look especially pretty under a wooden table with hardwood floors because of the warm neutral tones. The colors lean more warm beige/taupe overall, with very soft muted hints of blue-green and a dusty burnt orange color worked into the design. The distressed vintage-style pattern looks intentional and elegant. In terms of feel, this is more of a decorative/elegant rug than an extra cozy plush rug. The surface feels smoother rather than thick or woven. It's comfortable enough underfoot, but I wouldn't describe it as especially soft or fluffy. That said, I don't think that's really what this style of rug is trying to be. The rug itself feels fairly heavy and substantial, which I actually like because it helps it lay nicely once flattened out. It arrived folded with some creases, but they already started relaxing after being laid out for a bit, and I don't expect them to be an issue long term. The backing seems fine and the rug feels heavy enough that I don't anticipate much sliding around. The edge stitching also looks clean and well done. I'd say the quality and materials feel about appropriate for the price range. It doesn't look ultra luxury or super expensive in person, but it has a very pretty, tasteful appearance and feels like a solid, well-made rug for this style and price point. Overall, I'm really happy with it and think it would work beautifully in a dining room, bedroom, office, or living room.
