The housing maintains the 73-87 C10 rear end width for the 3rd generation Chevy pickup and retains the stock shock mount locations. The axle’s leaf spring mounting pads have been relocated to the bottom of the axle tubes, which in turn places the axle housing above the leaf spring pack for a rear suspension drop of 4-6 inches. Perfect for leveling out your C10’s ride height. Due to the drop this axle provides you’ll need to either use shock extenders to reuse your stock length shocks or use a shorter rear shock.
