Overall, this bike is awesome. It takes off like a bullet and the brakes are really great! There are some things you need to know! The app they want you to use is absolutely terrible. It unexpectedly resets, loses your bike in its memory, and has plenty of useless features that you'll probably never bother using. There is good news! You don't need the app! When you power it on, you are greeted by a lock screen that wants a 4 digit PIN. You can use the unlock feature in the app or you can just use the up keys to make it read "6666" which is the default PIN and yes you can change it with the app. If you put the PIN in instead of the app, nothing special happens. It just lets you use it and you don't need the app. My NFC card doesn't work at all for whatever reason but I honestly don't care the default screen timeout at least for my bike is set way too short, like 2 minutes. Also one more thing that may or may not be super important depending on who you are: Their customer service is basically non-existent. I've sent them multiple messages in the last 2 weeks with zero response. I think Hikeep (Helokeep) is just one brand in a kind of oddly set up conglomerate of brands and last I counted up to 9 different brand, probably explaining their customer service. Every other brand has a similar style of design and all of the websites are exact copy and paste formats and functions with the only difference being whatever sale is going on for that brand. Anyways, bike = great! Customer service = worthless at best. Technical info = virtually nonexistant. Most of the "P" settings you have to figure out on your own and good luck with the settings that require a 4 digit PIN to change since the moment the first digit is confirmed, that setting disappears from the screen and you can't change it. Since customer service iis a dumpster fire, I'm just going to take it to the local bike shop and have them make me a list of those settings and how to properly change them. I'll post that info to reddit when I get it. One last thing: Factory max speed = 40.3 mph. Capable of more but personally I wouldn't push it too much. That risks burning out the controller prematurely. OH! When you charge the battery, make sure to place the charger block itself directly in the path of an air conditioner or fan or somethingetal to help dissipate heat because it get HOT. Hope I helped!
