First of all the so-called "alkaline diet" is absolute nonsense and pseudoscience drivel. My reason for buying this is a tender stomach caused by a heavy dose of steroid medication. It left me with a sensitivity to any acidic foods or large meals and antacids only do so much, I tried this for sipping hydration all day to reduce stomach pain and it helps a bit where nothing else did. Also good if you have GERD. The nice jugs with bail handles have to be opened carefully to avoid a small spill - my first two jugs had NO air bubble at all so when I opened the lid they gushed a half ounce of water all over the table. My second two just had only a very small air bubble which can also lead to unexpected spills if you are not aware if this. As always, it is your responsibility to recycle or re-use these plastic jugs. The labels won't come off without leaving some glue residue but I think the labels were designed to not interfere with the recycling of this 100% recycled materials bottle.
