Works wonders on naturally dark hair. I'm in between dark brown to black hair naturally and it gets my roots to platinum every time. BUT I will say if your hair is extremely processed it could be damaging. It'll lift the color but it'll dry your hair out. Honestly I think it's the best for root touch up on dark hair trying to match already blonde/ platinum hair.
