Worst Service We Have Ever Experienced

Absolutely disgusted by this company and will never being going back after fifteen years of purchases. We did our entire master bathroom in upper end American Standard (AS) hardware about twelve years ago. Our tub hardware gave out in 2023. The hardware never really gave us any problem and we liked the look so we did not hesitate and purchased another AS set for the tub. The set was professionally installed in the first week of January 2024 and it was immediately discovered that one of the AS source hoses was defective and leaking. Our first great surprise and shock was that these hoses are proprietary and you can't just go out and by one at a big box store. What followed has just been surreal. Our plumber contacted AS immediately and requested a replacement. He has since been sent the same wrong part twice. The third time he called, he was told by a "manager" that the hose could not be ordered individually and that he would have to tear out the fully installed rough-in and send it all back to the vendor to have it replaced! We have since involved the vendor and made a formal BBB complaint, but the bottom line is that we have not had a functioning bathtub for two months now. There is apparently nothing "standard" about AS products when you cannot readily get a replacement for such a basic part. I do not know where this whole misadventure is going to end, but I can say one thing for sure: We will never purchase another AS product as long as we live and we would never recommend their products to anyone after this horrible experience.
