My boyfriend has been wanting this game for quite a while. We have played it at the local comic book shop on occasion.
The board is done through tiles, so it can take up varying amounts of space. Some scenarios only require a few tiles, but some require all the tiles, and this does take up quite a bit of table space, so keep that in mind when deciding if this game is for you.
One of the best things about this game is all the miniatures. There are 71 miniatures in all. That includes the survivors and the zombies. The miniatures are molded with lots of detail, and would be perfect for painting if you're good at that kind of thing.
The game can be very complex, so it's not really a good choice for someone who isn't willing to put time into learning to play a game. It has excellent replay value.
The base game is great, and is more than enough for most people, but for those who want to get more involved there are expansions, and extras that you can add to expand the game in different ways.
If you're interested in this game, but the price is holding you back, keep in mind that it's about the same cost as a new video game. The quality, gameplay, and visual look of the game make the game well worth the cost.
