Both of the toilets in our home had set-in stains because of the hard water we have here in Arizona. When it seemed like a product had finally whitened the rusty ring at the water line, it didn't take long for it to return due to the hard water's damage to the porcelain at the water line. I used numerous brands of toilet bowl cleaners, both the bleach-based and the ones for rust and lime stains. I also tried many DIY solutions, ex. Alka Selzer tablets, vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice, etc. Nothing I used worked to make the toilets clean and stay that way, until I used Cloralen Toilet Bowl Cleaner Liquid Gel . It works amazingly well! I have even begun using it to clean our bathtub which is over 10 years old and made of some type of plastic that is easily dented and scratched. The plastic picks up and holds onto dirt and soap residue, especially in the damaged spots, but this product has helped immensely to whiten the tub both inside and out. It is also great for whitening up the grout around the base of the toilet.
