Another disappointed customer

I came to this site to get information on getting a replacement touchpad - and found yet another page of reviews all saying the same thing - that this model keypad fails and there is no way to fix it. We have a wall oven /microwave set up. We have the trim kit for the microwave- so really wanted to keep the microwave so we didn't have to bear the expense of replacing it all. The microwave number starting having issues at the one year mark - when the warranty ended so we thought we would live with it - but recently the lower portion of the keypad quit responding to touch - and now none of the bottom buttons work- INCLUDING the START which makes the unit useless ! The microwave often gives us a door error as well. I'm very disappointed and angry that we are forced to purchase the same unit to fit into our trim kit when there are known issues with the product. I also “upgraded “ to the whirlpool kit based on the brand name because I thought it was a quality product.

Disappointed - buttons stopped working

We've had it installed for about three years. Some of The buttons would stop working on the control panel, but in the past unplugging and plugging in again would resolve the issue. That is no longer working. Very disappointing as this matches our other whirlpool appliances. We haven't used the microwave much.

Don't buy this microwave!

My 3 year old microwave has fallen victim to the same issue so many others have posted about. Part of the number display stopped working a few weeks ago, then the Start button quit working last week. An unplug/reset worked once. Because we have the unit built in with the trim kit, I'm afraid we may have to just buy another --- it would be nice if parts were available.
