I am a huge fan of the show, so I thought this game would be a whole lot of fun and give some answers about the show's many mysteries. Well, I was wrong on both. I knew going in that the game followed someone not on the show and you just interacted with the other characters. You play as Elliot a journalist who has lost his memory and you are trying to figure out who you are and how to get home. What I didn't know until it was too late is that this game takes about 3-4 hours to finish, gives NO answers and aside from a few moments is mostly boring as dirt. Yes it is cool that you get to explore the hatch, enter the numbers, get chased by the smoke monster and kind of explore the island, but the game was just way too short, way too linear and just plain. A couple of examples, twice you have to navigate dark caves, howver there is no real clear cut way and it involves a lot of trial and error, if you make too many wrong turns you will die because you will be without a light source and have to start again. Another example is the "trading" system. You gather items on the island (water bottles, coconuts, candy bars, books etc) and use them to trade. You find this stuff everywhere! However, I only had to use it twice: once for a torch and once for a gun(which I used twice and only once did I actually
have to). It could have been a neat system where you unlocked mysteries or something, but all you are stuck with is a bunch of useless inventory. Finally, you actually play your characters flashbacks and have to take a picture in each one. This was probably the most frustrating aspect because you only have a piece of what the picture should look like and you need it to continue and regain your memory. Some of these I had to try several times. Overall I would say this game was a huge letdown, even though the parts where you get to explore are fun they don't make up for what feels like a rushed and half finished game.
