Very quiet Exhaust Fan

This is a nice exhaust fan. I purchased it for a small bathroom near bedrooms so I wanted a very quite fan. This one fits the bill. Just had it installed so I do not yet know how good it is for pulling out shower steam but so far I am very happy and it looks very nice.

Nice looking fan but beware in retrofit applications

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a nice looking fan but I could not keep it. I had a retrofit application, and the fan did not work due to the following reasons: 1) The fan needs to be next to a joist and my ceiling hole was not next to the joist. I would have needed to make a wooden extension from the joist which is not easy without attic access. 2) Only one side can be attached to the joist so the exhaust duct can only enter from one side. In my installation the duct was coming from the other direction. Adding a duct extension form one side to the other without adding a significant bend is not easy without attic access. I don't know about the noise level because I did not install it. I did find a Panasonic fan that could be install in either direction and could be away from the joist.
