This is the softest pillow I've ever felt. The pillow is 100% polyester, including the shell and filling. The texture is the soft texture of a stuffed animal, but the very fine fibers make it extremely soft to the touch. I just want to keep rubbing it as it is so soothing and relaxing to feel. As the fibers lay one way they are lighter and when they are stroked the other direction they are slightly darker. Just like any fabric that has long fibers able to bend and move. Brand new, the pillow is stuffed very full and slightly too big to use as a back pillow on a couch or side pillow. But after using for a little bit, it smashes down some, which makes it a comfortable size to use on a daily basis for sitting comfort. Overtime, it will likely smash down further, but it's size and filling is a good size. The pillow is square, 18" X 18". The color is called soft silver. It is a nice light gray color that goes with natural tones in the room very well. The fabric can be spot cleaned. The pillow is cuddly and you won't want to get up away from it once you are snuggled in with it.
