Boys 8-20 Columbia Lightning Lift Jacket Timberwolf

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 2nd year that I've bought this coat for my son & it is fantastic. It keeps him warm without being too heavy, it zips up all the way to his chin (and the snap button at the top helps keep it closed) so he doesn't need a scarf, and with the hood up he doesn't even need a hat. The material is waterproof and extremely durable (great for rain/snow). Even after a full winter of almost daily wear, the coat looks brand new after being washed in the machine. Amazing! Just note that it runs slightly wide around the body so if your child is very skinny it may be too loose.

Before purchasing this jacket, I had been on several websites trying to get my grandson to agree on a Winter Jacket. I had just bought a Columbia jacket myself and was happy, so I checked to see if they sold kids apparel. When I found this coat, he immediately smiled, said yes, and I ordered it. The jacket fits great, and really does keep him warm. We have had some 26-30 degree mornings with cold breezes. He wears this jacket everyday, telling me it's light but really warm and comfortable to wear. I thought it might be bulky but, he says he can play at recess or ride in the car and he feels good not confined. Thank you for making a jacket that is not only good looking enough to please a parent or grandparent, but a 9 year old boy AND have it function in all the right ways. Everytime he wears it, I smile because he looks great and he is warm.
